1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings made with Ellion Tours (“the Company,” “we,” “our,” “us”). By confirming a booking, you (“the Client,” “you,” “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Booking & Payments
A deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required to secure your booking.
The balance must be paid no later than 60 days prior to the start of your trip.
Bookings made less than 60 days before departure must be paid in full at the time of confirmation.
Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other approved methods.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations must be made in writing and will take effect from the date we receive your notice.
Cancellation fees:
More than 60 days before departure: deposit only.
30–59 days before departure: 50% of total cost.
Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of total cost (no refund).
No refunds will be made for unused services once the tour has commenced.
4. Alterations by the Company
We reserve the right to modify or cancel tours due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, park regulations, safety concerns, or force majeure. In such cases, we will offer alternative arrangements of similar value, or a partial refund if no suitable alternative is possible.
5. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that your travel documents (passport, visas, vaccination certificates, insurance, etc.) are valid and up to date.
You must inform us of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or special requests at the time of booking.
Participation in adventure activities such as safaris, trekking, or water sports is at your own risk.
6. Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. It must cover medical expenses, trip cancellation, loss of belongings, and emergency evacuation. Proof of insurance may be requested before departure.
7. Liability
While we take every precaution to ensure your safety and satisfaction, Ellion Tours accepts no liability for personal injury, illness, death, loss, or damage to property that may occur during your trip.
We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by third parties, including airlines, hotels, or government authorities.
8. Wildlife & Safari Etiquette
Respect for wildlife, local communities, and conservation rules is mandatory. Clients are expected to follow the instructions of guides at all times to ensure safety and preservation of the environment.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Kenya and Tanzania, depending on the country in which your tour takes place. Any disputes will be settled in the appropriate jurisdiction.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking and making payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
