On this 3-day safari, you’ll take a safari into the Serengeti after your beach holiday in this short Serengeti fly-in safari. The scenic flight takes you from Zanzibar into the wild north of Tanzania. The Serengeti is home to ample wildlife, hosts one of Africa’s largest populations of lions, and is the scene where the annual wildebeest migration occurs.
You’ll arrive at Seronera Airstrip at approximately 11:00 am. At hand to receive you will be our safari guide, who will have a picnic lunch for you and be ready for the safari. Then, you will embark on your safari, stopping at around 1:00 pm for lunch. After that, you will continue with your game drive, searching for the big cats of Serengeti and herbivores. Finally, you will drive back to your camp in the evening in time for dinner and your overnight stay at Serengeti Safari Haven.
You will have breakfast at the camp and depart for your full-day game drive in the Serengeti. The Serengeti landscape is of mesmerizing beauty. While a sizable part of the park consists of seasonally flooded plains, forests, and shrub savannahs, the Serengeti is primarily about one thing, grassy plains. Being surrounded by millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles is an experience of a lifetime. In their annual migration north, they stampede over vast open plains and plunge into crocodile-infested rivers, all while the predators endlessly hunt them. After your picnic lunch on the Serengeti plains, you’ll continue your game drive until the evening. You’ll return to the camp as the sun sets over the horizon to wind down next to the crackling bushfire. Your overnight stay is at Serengeti Safari Haven.
After an early breakfast, you will bid the camp farewell, check out, and start your last game drive in Serengeti before departing for your next destination. Finally, you will drive to Seronera Airstrip for your flight departing from Serengeti mid-morning towards Zanzibar.
